NBA 2K16 hits 1.5M players in Australia
Updated November 11, 2020 08:08:50 NBA 2k16 is the first video game in history to have 1.55 million players across Australia.
The game was released in Australia on November 12, 2020 and is available for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC and Xbox 360.
In total, the game sold more than 3.5 million copies in Australia during its first week on sale.
Australia’s largest online sports retailer, Origin, said that 2K Games had shipped 1.2 million copies across the country and had an overall sales of 3.1 million copies.
Origin CEO Andrew Wilson said that the game had been a huge hit in Australia.
“We’ve had more than 50,000 concurrent players across our online games in Australia,” he said.
“It’s been one of our most popular games in a number of regions.”
The company’s CEO, Paul Harvey, said it was a great day for gamers across Australia and around the world.
“It means that the next generation of esports is here, and it’s going to be a game changer for us,” Mr Harvey said.
“The games are getting bigger and better, and now you’re getting a chance to experience the excitement and the excitement of an esports championship in the flesh.”
The NBA 2ks 16 is available to download on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 and for PC.
It comes with the first ever NBA 2 series of modes, including 3-on-3, 5-on 5 and 7-on 7, with the addition of the “Arena” mode.
Fans will also be able to unlock new NBA 2 mode skins through a new online beta.
EA Sports Australia’s NBA 2, which is a free-to-play, sports game that also includes a multiplayer mode, launched in 2016.
Its main feature is the “Rookie Mode”, which features a number-based progression system, but has also introduced a number new modes and added more than 200 new players to the ranks of the game.
